Edison, New Jersey is a township in Middlesex County. Known mostly as just Edison, the township is home to nearly 100,000 people within its 30-square miles. The 2009 estimated U.S. Census reports the population of Edison as 98,996. Approximately 17.75% of Edison residents identified themselves as being Indian American. This treacherous stretch connects Interstate 87 to the New York State Thruway and is the only access for tractor-trailers, making it a busy and dangerous series of interchanges.

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is a 651-bed academic tertiary medical center and state-designated trauma center.
