Daniel J. Buchheister
Daniel J. Buchheister, Esq. is a New Jersey workers’ compensation attorney at Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., where he represents employees who have been injured or developed illnesses as a result of their employment. Admitted in 2017 to practice before the New Jersey State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, since joining Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. in 2018, Daniel has represented injured workers in New Jersey Workers’ Compensation courts and won court-approved settlements for his clients.
Daniel Buchheister represents injured workers in a wide range of New Jersey workers’ compensation matters, including workplace accidents, occupational injuries and illnesses, dependency claims, medical treatment, temporary disability benefits, and permanent disability awards. He also represents injured workers in Third-Party personal injury claims when a person or entity other than the employer may be responsible for an on-the-job injury. By pursuing both Workers’ Compensation and Third-Party claims when appropriate, Daniel works to identify all potential available sources of compensation to maximize the recovery available to his clients.
Daniel has earned professional recognition for his work as an attorney in New Jersey and nationally. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star each year from 2022 through 2026; and named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2023. He has also been recognized by Bergen Magazine as a Top Lawyer in 2023 and 2025 and by New Jersey Monthly Magazine from 2022 through 2026. He has also presented a Law Day lecture on ethics in workers’ compensation practice at the Bergen County Justice Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Daniel’s commitment to personal injury law began with a personal experience that shaped his career. As a child, he testified as a witness in a personal injury trial involving his mother, who was injured in a car accident. His mom was represented by Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. founding partner Garry R. Salomon, Esq. Following his testimony, the Judge, The Honorable Daniel P. Mecca invited Daniel into his chambers and spoke with him about the legal system, inspiring Daniel to pursue a career as a personal injury attorney. When the jury ultimately awarded his mother a substantial verdict, Daniel saw firsthand the important role in how the civil justice system helps families affected by serious injuries. That experience gave Daniel an early understanding of the difference an attorney makes when a person or family is facing the consequences of an unexpected injury.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society from Ramapo College of New Jersey and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. He has been a member of the Bergen County Bar Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice since 2018.
