Matthew A. Schroeder, Esq. is a Senior Associate at Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., where he represents injured clients in New Jersey and New York accident, negligence, and personal injury cases. An experienced trial lawyer, Matthew handles serious injury claims involving car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and other cases caused by negligence.

Matthew joined Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. in 2024 and represents injury victims throughout New Jersey and New York State where his practice is focused on clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, fractures, herniated discs, permanent disability, and other catastrophic injury and negligence claims. Using his valuable cross-state litigation experience, he has won dozens of jury verdicts and settlements for clients whose cases required strategy as well as strong advocacy to stand up to defense teams and insurance companies. His years of litigation experience give him a practical understanding of how serious injury cases are built, from investigating evidence and determining liability to preparing claims for negotiation or trial.

Matthew is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2008.

Matthew is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. His background as a former Dartmouth varsity football player, including time with the 1996 undefeated Ivy League Championship team, reflects the discipline, preparation, and competitive focus he brings to advocating for injured clients.

Outside of his legal practice, Matthew is active in Ramsey and the surrounding Bergen County community as Chair of the Ramsey Municipal Association and Head Coach of the Ramsey Mighty Mites football team. He is also a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Merit and a member of Dartmouth’s Dragon Senior Honor Society. Matthew lives with his wife and three children and enjoys coaching, skiing, and jujitsu.
